CRAIG OVERTON was unable to repeat his impressive bowling figures from the opening match of England Lions' tour of Australia as they were beaten for a second time.
Overton, the Somerset and North Devon all-rounder, had taken two for 30 off eight overs in Thursday's eight-wicket defeat to Victoria in Melbourne.
England made a better fist of the second game overnight but still lost by four wickets to a Victorian XI.
Overton returned figures of 5-0-31-0 as the home side chased down England's 335 for four with two balls to spare.
The 18-year-old, from Northam, did not bat in the England innings, which saw Varun Chopra make 115 and James Taylor 102.
England play Victoria again at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, starting at 11.30pm (GMT) tomorrow.
The five-match one-day international series against Australia A starts on Saturday.
