A Westcountry food delivery firm is celebrating after winning Best Organic Retailer 2013 at The Natural and Organic Awards.
The Cornish arm of Riverford was said to have been recognised for its on-going commitment to making high-quality organic food available to a wide range of people.
The award marked a hat trick for the firm which scooped it in 2009 and 2010.
Steve and Lynn Allen, who run Riverford in Cornwall said: "We are delighted to have been awarded Best Organic Retailer 2013.
"The award is testament to Riverford's unwavering pursuit of the best tasting organic food, sourced fairly from suppliers they know and trust."
The couple acquired the Cornwall franchise for Riverford in August and since the start of the year their sales have increased by nearly ten percent.
The awards are now in their 18th year and aim to celebrate the organic industry's most innovative businesses and products. In the retail category, Riverford was shortlisted against national heavyweights such as Waitrose.
Rob Sexton, chief executive of the Soil Association Certification, praised Riverford for "broadening the appeal of cooking from scratch" and inspiring their customers to "embrace seasonal, organic food."
