Cool start with showers in the north, but sunny for most

It's a bright but chilly start to Thursday, with some scattered showers throughout the day.

North Devon and parts of Somerset are likely to see the worst of the showers today, but these will be light and patchy.

If you're in the south you'll be enjoying mostly dry and bright weather with sunny spells.

Temperatures will feel little fresh with a high of 18°C.

The cloud and some showery outbreaks of rain are likely to linger overnight before clearer conditions spread in from the north by dawn.

It will be less chilly than recent nights with a minimum temperature of 9°C.

Friday is set to be a largely fine day with a fair amount of sunny spells, however it will still be slightly cooler than average for the time of year. with a maximum temperature of 18°C.
