A cookery school in Cornwall has teamed up with a leading sausage maker to help people make their own perfect bangers.
The practical course at Philleigh Way Cookery School, on the Roseland Peninsula, promises to take students through the entire process, from butchering the pork to stuffing the skins, with a focus on quality ingredients and craftsmanship.
They've bought in expertise from local butcher and sausage connoisseur Gavin Roberts for the first "Kernow Sausage Masterclass" which will be held on February 5 next year, with more dates in the pipeline.
Chef George Pascoe, who runs the cookery school with his brother-in-law James Martin, said: "We really want to encourage people to reconnect with their food and take a greater interest in where it comes from.
"We love the Kernow Sausage approach, where quality local ingredients are used and food is given the respect it deserves. That's why we're looking forward to working with Gavin."
Mr Roberts, managing director of the Tregony-based Kernow Sausage Company, added: "I think it's great to see more people taking an interest in traditional skills, it's something we've always championed and I know my gran would be very proud.
"Philleigh Way offers food lovers a unique experience and I can't wait to be a part of that."
