Police have seized drugs from a house in Paignton worth an estimated £30,000.

Police yesterday executed a warrant at an address on Totnes Road in Paignton under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Approximately one third of a kilo of heroin in a compressed block was seized, thought to have a street value of around £30,000.

A quantity of cash between £5,000 and £10,000 was also seized.

Three people were arrested at the scene.

James Thompson, age 33, who was living at Totnes Road but is from the Liverpool area, has been charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and was due to appear at South Devon Magistrates’ Court this morning.

A 38-year-old man from Totnes Road, Paignton and an 18-year-old woman of Queen Elizabeth Drive, Paignton have both been given police bail for conspiracy to supply heroin until December 10 2012 while police carry out further enquiries.
