Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood

An interesting item from the antipodes comes before the hammer in Tuesday's auction at Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood's Dowell Street, Honiton saleroom.

An early 20th century Maori carved ceremonial paddle should attract collectors with its estimate of £120-£150.

There is much to catch the eye – such as a Continental Palissy-style green glaze model of a lizard with a guide of £80-£120.

A Flight, Barr & Barr (Worcester) porcelain twin-handled vase, with gilt serpent handles has a guide of £60-£80 while a Robert Thompson "Mouseman" workshop table lighter makes an attractive novelty item at £60-£80.

And, if you are not sure which hue you like letter writing in, a silver triple colour propelling pencil by S Morden, London Est solves all your problems. Guide £150-£200.

The auction starts at 10am.
