Two professional ice skaters gave school children a chance to learn from the experts when they staged a special one-off workshop in Plymouth.

Jenna Smith, of Dancing on Ice 2013, and Adam Jukes, of Holiday on Ice and Disney on Ice, met the Year 6 class of Plymouth's High Street Primary School to teach them some top tricks on the ice.

The two stars, who are just about to start rehearsals for their upcoming show Robin Cousins ICE, wowed the class with an impressive move which saw Jenna's head centimetres from the ice.

The performance is just a taste of what crowds can expect when ICE comes to Westpoint, Exeter, from February 19, with ten performances over five days

The 10 and 11-year olds visit the ice rink every week as part of a schools programme run by the rink Ice Angels Events.

The programme, run for primary schools in the local area, gives children who wouldn't normally get the opportunity the chance to take part in a seven-week programme to learn how to ice skate.

James Mann, Year 6 teacher at High Street primary, said: "The children were so impressed to be able to ice skate with Adam and Jenna from Robin Cousins ICE.

"They are really enthusiastic about ice skating so it was great for them to have the chance to be taught by two world class professionals."

Kim Downham, owner of Ice Angels Events ice rink, said "It was an amazing experience to have Adam and Jenna at our ice rink. They were both incredible to watch and so fantastic with the children."
