Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is to stage a business show in the city – as it celebrates its 200th anniversary.

The Chamber will host the Plymouth Business Show on June 26, at Plymouth Pavilions.

The event seeks to build on the success of last year's Business Expo, held on the Hoe as part of the inaugural Marine City Festival, in September.

During 2013, Plymouth Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will be raising funds for six Plymouth charities as it celebrates its 200th anniversary.

Funds raised will be distributed to: Chestnut Appeal, Jeremiah's Journey, Plymouth Guild, Plymouth and District Mind, Shekinah Mission and Tomorrow's People.

Fundraising will take place at events including the business show and a summer ball. Chamber chief executive David Parlby will also be fundraising for the project by cycling 630 miles across Spain over eight days in June.
