Case dropped against man accused of allowing dog to attack

A man accused of having a dog which went into a flat and injured a woman has had the case against him dropped.

Lewis Shorthouse, aged 23, had appeared before Plymouth magistrates charged with owning a dog which caused injury in a private place on September 12.

Shorthouse, of North Hill, had indicated "no plea" to the charge.

The case against him has now been discontinued.
