Two large care homes in Cornwall have been sold to Morleigh Group following their previous owner's retirement from the care sector.
The 35-bedroom Tregertha Court Residential Home in Looe, and 43-bedroom St Theresa's Nursing Home in Callington, were sold by Malcolm Freeland, via Christie + Co.
Morleigh Group directors Steve and Trisha Juleff are now believed to be the largest owner of privately-run nursing and residential homes in Cornwall. The acquisition of Tregertha Court and St Theresa's brings the number of homes they operate to seven.
John Crocker of Christie + Co in Exeter said: "Having dealt with Malcolm in the 1980s, we were delighted he came to us with instructions to sell the homes after nearly 30 years.
"Steve and Trisha plan to upgrade and improve the offerings at both homes in the months ahead."
