A car and a lorry collided on the A38 in Plymouth today causing long tailbacks.
One lane was closed on A38 Parkway eastbound from St Budeaux between Weston Mill and Manadon Roundabout, because of the accident at around 10.30am.
A dark red Nissan Almera Tino and an articulated lorry collided causing the Nissan to 'spin and collide with the crash barrier' on the inside lane.
A spokesman for the Highways Agency said: "The two vehicles collided which left the Nissan badly damaged after it spun and hit the barrier."
Police and Highways Agency officers closed the inside lane causing traffic to move slowly from the Weston Mill off slip as cars merged into the outside lane and past the scene just before the slip-road onto Manadon Roundabout.
No injuries were reported and the road was cleared by 11:45am.
The Nissan was taken away on a recovery vehicle.
