ILFRACOMBE Town will visit Plymouth Parkway in the next round of the FA Cup following their 4-1 win at St Austell in the extra preliminary round.

Ross Middleton's Bluebirds put a winless Western League Premier Division start behind them to cruise to victory at Poltair against Parkway's South West Peninsula Premier Division rivals St Austell.

Ian Cockwill opened the scoring for the Bluebirds from close range in the 15th minute before Steve Holland doubled the visitors' lead 20 minutes later.

Striker Stan Paxton increased Town's lead on 48 minutes before the Lilywhites' player-manager Dan Nancarrow reduced the deficit from Chris Reski's cross.

However Ilfracombe – beaten 5-0 by Buckland Athletic in midweek – were not finished and Ed Yeo added a fourth goal on 80 minutes.

Premier Division pace-setters Buckland will seek to continue their winning league start when they host Gillingham Town in an early top-of-the-table Western League clash at Homer's Heath on Wednesday night (7.45pm) after their early FA Cup exit.

Keiran White (two) and Jamie Howson scored for First Division Wells City as they won 3-0 at Buckland on Saturday to upset the form book and set up a mouth-watering home preliminary round tie against Peninsula League champions Bodmin Town.

While Adam Castle's Buckland were victorious in their two opening League fixtures, Wells – who host Chard Town tomorrow night (7.30pm) – have lost both.

Hopes for an all Mid Devon FA Cup derby at Silver Street were ended by in-form Larkhall Athletic, who eased to a 4-0 win over hosts Willand Rovers.

Larks ace Nat Auckland and Tyler Sibbick shared the Athletic goals as they set up a home tie against Southern League Tiverton Town in the next round.

Striker Sibbick opened the scoring after 14 minutes with Auckland doubling the visitors' lead just before half-time.

Sibbick made it 3-0 soon after the interval with Auckland doubling his tally against their Western League Premier Division hosts. Scott Rogers' Rovers seek their first win of the term when they travel to league rivals Ilfracombe in the Devon St Luke's Challenge Cup first round tomorrow night (Marlborough Park, 7.45pm).

The prize for tomorrow night's winner is a trip to play Torquay United in round two.

Tom Bulley's Barnstaple Town return to First Division action at home to newcomers Wincanton Town tomorrow night at Mill Road (7.45pm) following their 2-0 FA Cup home defeat by Premier Division Bitton on Saturday.

Bulley's Reds started the season with an 8-1 win over Corsham Town but will be wary of a Wincanton side who scored a big home win on Saturday, defeating Cheddar 7-2 in a League match.
