Average speed cameras set up on A38

Speed cameras have been set up ahead of roadworks on the A38 in Devon.

The average speed cameras have been put up on the A38 at the bottom of Haldon Hill, where ten weeks of planned works were due to begin today.

The cameras will work in both directions and use automatic numberplate recognition technology to identify a vehicle and calculate its average speed.

    These 50 mph limits would make sense if applied only at times when someone was actually working. There's no excuse for having them 24/7 when there's no one there. That's stealth taxation.
