An elderly man from Hampshire has died after a collision on the A30 in North Cornwall which closed the road for eight hours.
The emergency services were called to the scene, just past the Altarnun and Five Lanes junction, near Launceston, on the westbound carriageway at 5.05pm yesterday.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the collision involved a tractor towing a trailer, which had both overturned, and a red Skoda Fabia car.

A police spokesperson this morning said: "As a result of the road traffic collision the male driver in the Skoda died as a result of his injuries.
"He has not been formally identified at this time."
Last night motorists were advised to avoid the area with the dual closed for several hours.

The A30 was closed westbound at Five Lanes and Trewint for accident investigation work and reopened at 1am today.
The eastbound carriageway was also closed.
